Jane Mostowitz - President I have had CFIDS since childhood or at least the 1970’s but was diagnosed in 1994. CFIDS didn’t impact my life completely until 1992 and I stopped working in 1996. I spent money on nutritional products, medicine, alternative treatments, etc. believing I would get well but finally applied for SSDI in 1999 and being approved in 2000. I’ve lived in Long Island, N.Y. 1950’s , Stamford, Connecticut 1960’s, Houston in 1969 - 1980, Huntsville, Texas 1980 and then back to Houston in 1987. I went to Tyler Jr. College 1970 - 1972, worked at the Houston Zoo and other places, then graduated from Southwestern Paralegal Institute in late 1977. In 1987 I moved back to Houston started my own Paralegal business and cared for my parents until their passing. I volunteer with SNAP Wellness Clinic, do Pro Bono Paralegal work, and pet-sit in my home. My pet-children are Blackie and Teddy Bear. I love dancing, the arts, photography, travel, other cultures and I am a foodie who loves new places.

Laura Van Ness - Acting Vice-President I have had CFIDS since August 1987, and was lucky enough to be diagnosed just a few months later. I am a native Houstonian, graduated from Stratford High School and then Rhodes College in Memphis. I work for Central Houston, Inc., and am lucky enough to be able to work full time. My husband and I live in downtown Houston.

Carol Edwards - Acting Secretary My 26-year old son, Ryan Pavlu, was diagnosed with CFIDS in January 2007. We are beginning the journey to find help for him and have found the Houston CFIDS Association to be a wonderful source of information, networking and caring. I graduated from the University of Tennessee after receiving both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Nutrition. I work at the Fort Bend Family Health Center in Richmond, Texas. We provide a myriad of health care and social services for uninsured, low income families. My husband Charles and I have lived in Rosenberg for 25 years. Ryan was working on a degree in Information Management at Tomball College and lived in Houston until he moved home in October,2006. I am very active in my church choir and praise band, love to spend time with my two wonderful granddaughters, and enjoy home decorating.

John Bagziz - Acting Treasurer I’ve been married to Sue Bagzis (CFIDS patient) for past 32 years. Graduated from University of Oklahoma in 1978 with degree in Petroleum Engineering. I have been employed by Chevron for past 29 years in Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas. We have lived in Spring for the past 16 years and we have two children, both currently in college. My hobbies are restoration of classic cars, gauges, and clocks.
