Larry Pollock, PhD
August 3rd, 2007Dr. Pollock, or “Dr. Strategy” as his clients have nicknamed him over the years, is the reason Project ReEntry exists and persists. His calm demeanor, quality evaluations, and client-oriented style of treatment are responsible for its success over the years. He is the owner and Executive Director.
Dr. Pollock was born in Oklahoma but raised primarily in Sweeny, Texas. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches where he received his B.S. in Psychology in 1967. In 1971 he received his M.S. in Psychology from Syracuse University in New York. After completing his internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, he returned to Syracuse University and earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1973.
Dr. Pollock has been in private practice for over 35 years specializing in neuropsychology. He is a Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate for the American Board of Disability Analysts. Although his practice does include clinical psychological services, the diagnosis and rehabilitation of clients who have suffered Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is his primary focus.
In 1987, Dr. Pollock became the owner and Executive Director of Project ReEntry. Since then over 1500 Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services’ (DARS) clients with brain injuries have completed the program and gone to work!
